Salute the legendary Bob Collins, and meet WGN Radio's Spike O'Dell, at this year's National Radio Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Chicago.
The 2008 National Radio Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is Saturday, November 8, at the Renaissance Chicago Hotel. Among this year's inductees is our very own Bob Collins.
As the Hall of Fame notes, "Collins was a top-rated and much-loved morning show host from 1986 until his death in 2000 on WGN/Chicago. Known to his fans as “Uncle Bobby”, his show featured conversation, music and his folksy charm. The native of Florida had a regular afternoon show when he was only 14 years old and spent time at stations in Milwaukee, Los Angeles, San Diego and Miami before finding a home at WGN."
We invite you to join Spike O'Dell to salute "Uncle Bobby" on this very special evening. Tickets are now on sale, benefitting The Museum of Broadcast Communications.
