Time for R&R
JUST IN: WMAQ-CHANNEL 5 anchor Warner Saunders is thrilled that he has signed a new contract extension with the station to only do the 10 p.m. news starting in January. This superior journalist and broadcaster currently co-anchors the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts with his equally talented co-anchor, Allison Rosati.
Also, I understand that Saunders and his lovely wife of 35 years, Sadako, are happy that they now have a beautiful condo in Hawaii where they will be spending a lot of quiet time among the coconuts and palm trees.
Warner is 73 years young and still is energetic and as spry as ever. He is a class act, and when he is out on the town, folks always want to shake his hand.
I think it is great that he is finally cutting down his schedule and will be relaxing more. He certainly deserves it.
Their son, Warner Jr., owns the Mikomura Design & Art Co. and his Web site is: mikomura.com.
