: Rick Vaughn, you could have this on your very own Chicago radio station..
: *psssh* Java Joel. Michelle Obama. One on One.
"Java does it again" is right. I'm a fan of Java Joel circa. Kiss Chicago days, but this Michelle Obama thing is more like his "zoo" bit that got him fired than the Justin Timberlake interview which I thought was spot-on. I think he let his judgement get a little away from him. It could have been much better with just a few simple changes.
It started out wierd from the get-go when he said democrats are more censor-happy than republicans. IMO that is completely WRONG. That set the tone for the rest of the interview.
Java sounded unprepared and disinterested. Michelle Obama attempted to keep her cool and play along. She is very good at doing interviews. That's why you always see and hear her on the radio/tv shows, not Barack himself. Much like how McCain is always on the tube and his wife isn't. Each camp has their own strengths in different areas. But this isn't even about politics really.
The low-brow cracks at the end after Obama's assistant called for an end to the interview actually got me rolling on the floor. I know, I know, they were childish and irrelevant to what most expect from a professional conversation with a political candidate's wife, but that's what made them so great to me. The sheer audacity that someone would even think about bringing up poop and farting under the bedsheets was genius.
I just realized my post on this topic is longer than the words I have written so far for the paper that's due at 8:30am. I need to prioritize better.
Peace Out.
