CBS Radio Names Jones WBMX-WODS/Boston PD
20-year programming vet Jay Beau Jones is named Program Director CBS Radio's Hot AC WBMX-FM (Mix 98-5) and Oldies WODS-FM/Boston. He replaces Jerry McKenna. Most recently, Jones served as PD of WXLO-FM and WWFX-FM/Worcester. Previously, he programmed WUBT-FM in Chicago and WKSS-FM (Kiss 95.7)/Hartford.
"We are very excited to bring Jay Beau's outstanding credentials to WBMX, and I look forward to working with him at the country's premier Hot AC station," commented Senior VP/Market Manager Mark Hannon.
"Jay Beau's experience and leadership in the Oldies format made this decision a natural. His ideas for WODS are exciting and will enhance the overall experience for our listeners," added WODS Senior VP/GM Ted Jordan.
