Three Big Broadcasters Expand Deal With Media Monitors

CITADEL BROADCASTING, EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS and CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNICATIONS have signed agreements with MEDIA MONITORS. All three broadcast groups will be expanding their arrangements with MEDIA MONITORS with this pact.

CITADEL will hone their programming intelligence at their flagship station Talk WABC-A/NEW YORK, along with sister stations Hot AC WPLJ/NEW YORK, Talk KABC-A and Classic Rock KLOS/LOS ANGELES and Talk WLS-A and Oldies WLS-F/CHICAGO.

EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS will be analyzing their programming data from ARBITRON's PPM with AUDIENCE REACTION giving them a competitive edge in LOS ANGELES, NEW YORK, and CHICAGO.

CLEAR CHANNEL has expanded the role MEDIA MONITORS will play in their renowned group of stations. PDs in the top CLEAR CHANNEL markets will be able to tap into the strategic market information AUDIENCE REACTION provides.

MEDIA MONITORS CEO/Pres. Philippe Generali commented, "AUDIENCE REACTION is industry changing technology. Now, visually monitor what effect your programming has. Chart the behavior of the listeners in the PPM panel who were listening to your station. This helps you instantly notice changes in ratings. Coupled with GSELECTOR scheduling your station becomes a truly flexible medium."
