: : WKSC Offers Eddie & JoBo Chance To Say Goodbye
: : Crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WKSC PD RICK VAUGHN called ALL ACCESS to say, "I am offering our airwaves for EDDIE & JOBO to say goodbye. They have been here for 20 years and and were not allowed this opportunity, and we just happen to have a really big transmitter."
: : VAUGHN is in the process of formerly extending EDDIE & JOBO the invite.

: "Thank you Eddie, JoBo & Erica
:
: The entire B96 staff & the staff of CBS Radio celebrate Eddie & JoBo's nearly two decades of legendary entertainment and service to B96 and Chicago, as well as Erica's contributions to the team over the last 3+ years. We also know that the time for change has arrived. We will all miss them greatly, but now is the time for a new direction in morning drive. We plan to make a formal announcement on the future of mornings at B96 as soon as possible.
: J Niice will fill in for morning drive temporarily, along with Entertainment Reporter Showbiz Shelly. Rebecca Ortiz will cover middays TFN.
: Stay tuned."
a lame, transparent afterthought following dozens of message board posts and probably thousands of calls and emails to station management. they should have had at least a last show, hell, maybe a month-long "goodbye to eddie & jobo" complete with flashbacks to the past, and ending with a "goodbye" party for listeners. it would have been huge. their short-sighted method of letting them go will bite them in the ass. again, b96 shows its completely clueless.
