While I have no use for Clear Channel - the whores of the Radio Business, and while they are using this opportunity to again whore for their gain, at least they are allowing Eddie and Jobo the opportunity to say goodbye to their fans. I think that after all these years they have earned the right to go out with dignity and closure. Even if the Lowry and the kids make a buck off it.
This is far more than the pinheads at CBS have allowed. But then look at the way 'JMK was Jacked around. Or the post-Stern 'CKG.
Perhaps WLS-FM when it was all talk with Robert Murphy and Jonny Von and Richard Roeper was slightly ahead of its time, but there is a place for FM talk in this city if done right, and there is a place for talent like Garry and E&J, and Jay Marvin with Gehron as the GM.
