Happy Thanksgiving! Sure there is lots of news that we are all not so thankful for, but I am a big believer of keeping your life in perspective. There is always a situation that is far worse than what you are in now. What we all need to do, I think, is focus on the positive. For me, it's the fact that I have four healthy well-adjusted children, my wife still likes me, and though I have a lot less hair than when I started at WGN Radio almost 14 years ago, I am not completely bald!
With the holidays here, it's a great time to spruce up the house a bit. A fresh coat of paint in the dining room, maybe a new entry rug, or even some new hardware on the kitchen cabinets? All of these upgrades cost just a few dollars and are easy to do. I just painted my daughter Mallory's room a sort of denim color that she picked out. I prepped the walls and painted it in just one short day. The best part was when she got home from school it was done and I got one fantastic hug and kiss from my little girl. I am very thankful for that, maybe I need to paint our bedroom?
