CBS tried to keep Mike North. I believe he turned down $800,000 a year. He wanted more money. They didn't want to get rid of him. He made it impossible to agree on a new contract in this changing economic time and radio landscape. So his exit was a little different.

: CBS has sure cut its pay roll: First Mike North, then Eddie & JoBo now Steve Dahl and Buzz Kilman. Where will that extra cash go I wonder.
