: Jack FM morning man no more : : By Mike Stern : : Legendary Chicago personality Steve Dahl has exited the building at CBS adult hits WJMK/Chicago. Dahl had joined the CBS property in mornings last August when the company changed its FM talk WCKG, where Dahl had long-hosted afternoon, to AC as WCFS. : : Dahl's history in the market goes back to working at rock station WLUP in it's hot talk incarnation with partner Gary Meier. Dahl was responsible for the legendary and infamous "Disco Demolition," blowing up disco records at a Chicago White Sox game that turned into a small riot and caused the team to forfeit the game. : : Dahl's ratings dropped precipitously when Chicago changed over to Arbitron's PPM measurement system. : : This is the second high profile, high-priced talent the CBS/Chicago cluster has ousted in recent days, with longtime CHR/top 40 WBBM-FM morning team Eddie and Jobo going first. : : CBS had not released any official comment at press time. : (Radio & Records)
