Admittedly, I am a radio junkie and rarely watch TV. However, I was intrigued enough by the Johnny B on TV concept to watch (I never saw his previous TV show). I was planning to just watch a few minutes to get the gist of it but it captivated me enough to stay put and watch the whole thing. I really liked it. It played off some topics he had already discussed on his radio show. For example, he showed footage of Sebastian Bach jumping around and going crazy after an on-air interview in Johnny's studio. If you listen, you probably have already seen that footage on You Tube or the Loop website but even so, I think it added to the show and gave a brief glimpse of the studio and what can happen off of the air. Given I am familiar with that and the other guests and topics, I don't know how the show would have played to somebody who doesn't listen to him regularly. I truly enjoyed the show and will watch again. The only comment I would make is that I think it would be even better if there were more people Johnny could interact with during the show whether it be a small studio audience or if he had the rest of his radio team present in the studio (Guy was there but didn't have a large role). I always enjoy the interactions between Johnny and Kent on the air so that might play well on TV although I realize this is a separate venture from his radio show. Johnny really plays well off of others so adding more people might add additional spontaneity and humor - not that it wasn't good the way it was. The show will replay on Sunday night - it is worth recording or staying up to watch.
