At Channel 32, Wanda Wells has announced she is leaving in January after 27 years as director of community affairs for WFLD and, more recently, also sister station WPWR-Ch. 50.

Wells developed and coordinated station public service efforts and was a liaison with community civic leaders, working on outreach efforts and helping produce public affairs programs.

From 1992 to 2007, Wells doubled as news director and morning anchor for WVAZ-FM 102.7.
