WMVP-AM 1000 has suspended Chet Coppock for making an offensive comment towards Jews.

When asked on last Saturday's show, how do you spell Jewish, Coppock replied, "M-O-N-E-Y."

After hearing the line, WMVP General Manager Jim Pastor pulled Coppock off his shift on Sunday. Pastor said Coppock will miss his next four shifts on the weekends and won't return to the air until Feb. 23.

Said Pastor: "We're extremely sorry. The comment was offensive and uncalled for. We do not tolerate this kind of behavior from any of our hosts. We immediately addressed the situation with Chet and he's been suspended."

Coppock apologized in a statement.

"I made an offensive comment I truly regret. It doesn't reflect my views or those of WMVP. I sincerely apologize."
