Chicago Public Radio was one of the 13 winners of a prestigious Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award, given for excellence in broadcast journalism covering July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008.

The duPont Award goes to Chicago Public Radio for its special "This American Life: The Giant Pool of Money."

NPR's "All Things Considered," which also airs on Chicago Public Radio's WBEZ, picked up a pair of awards for two of their broadcasts.

The honorees will be presented with the duPont Batons at a ceremony next week at New York's Columbia University.
