The Chicago Defender newspaper has named its 50 "Men of Excellence" for 2008.

Among the winners are a few Chicago media personalities including NBC5 News Anchor Warner Saunders, ABC7 News photographer Ken Bedford, and WVAZ/V103's legendary radio personality Herb Kent.

The annual "Men of Excellence" issue of the Chicago Defender is out today and will showcase all 50 winners.

Tomorrow 1/15, the Chicago Defender will be holding an invitation-only celebration of the awardees at the downtown Hotel Allegro (171 W. Randolph).
