They started tweaking the sound of the station right after New Year's Day. For those of us who listen all the time, it was a pretty dramatic change for the better. Before the change, Byrd’s show was really the only time you would hear something different than the usual list of songs. Currents were only played at 40 minutes past the hour. Now, you may still hear one at that time which is fine but you will also hear them at other times so more are played. I am really liking some of the newer songs like Bite, Loud, Use me, I wanna live, etc. The playlist expanded to include bands that I rarely ever heard on the Loop except during Byrd's show like Airbourne – they are playing Runnin’ Wild on a pretty regular basis which is great rock and roll. The Loop is also playing older songs that haven’t been played in a while like “Crazy b###h”, “Amen”, “What I Want” and several bands I never heard much on the Loop like Puddle of Mudd which has added even more variety. Now, they just need to continue this and maybe consider adding songs like Endeverafter’s “I wanna be your man” to the list.

: is clearly undergoing a music shift. they are now spinning a ratio of 60%-classic rock and 40% new rock. now that is a how rock station should sound. looks like eddie webb has been busy with the music logs. also, digging the new edgy imaging. great work eddie!
