The only talk show host that ESPN 1000 HAD is gone. The person who drove the afternoon drive show is gone. That is the second most critical slot on the station next to mornings and we all know that they syndicate mornings on ESPN 1000.
McNeil is the most driven sports talk show host in this town. He demands excellence and he'll get in your face if he feels you're not pulling your weight. He will now go back to the Score and it's stable of hosts. Perhaps a Heavy Fuel Crew reunion??????? Boers and McNeil back together again? You know that's what McNeil would love... and I think Boers wouldn't mind it either.
The best host ESPN 1000 has is Waddle and he is a solid second banana, but not someone who can drive a show like McNeil! And, other than Bruce Levine, this station doesn't have anything!
If the halls of ESPN 1000 could talk right now...
