That didn't stop the sighting from sparking speculation throughout the station, though it wasn't quite as frenzied as when Tribune Co. Chief Operating Officer Randy Michaels gave Erich "Mancow" Muller a tour of Tribune Tower in May.
To the extent that WGN-AM might be talking to outsiders for the afternoon vacancy created by John Williams' move to the morning, that courtship is far more likely to be conducted in less public fashion.
