Blago-rolling: At the rate Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is going on his media blitz to distract from impeachment proceedings Downstate, he will be closing out the week on Cable 10 community access channel in Aurora, reciting his talking points to Garth Algar and Wayne Campbell on "Wayne's World."
Frankly, we're waiting for the first TV show to tell Blagojevich: "No, we don't need our own version of the same sound bites you're giving everyone else -- we'll just run file footage." That will be a program worth watching.
Blagojevich continued making the rounds in New York on Tuesday, while the women of ABC's "The View" took stock of his appearance there the day before.
Between talk of personal grooming and how weird it was to have Barbara Walters interview the governor on a monitor from Los Angeles, the co-hosts did not reach a consensus on whether Blagojevich was helping himself.
"We said he was likable, he gets sympathy -- how is that going to help him?" said Walters, who was back in New York for Tuesday's live telecast after taking an overnight flight. "It's not going to help him in the impeachment trial. It probably won't help in the criminal trial."
