This email was sent to me as a reminder that the digital archives for the Museum Of Broadcast Communications in Chicago have been restored for online viewing. The archives are accessible with a registration of your email address and a password creation. Then you can search whatever you want to. TV, Radio, Commercials, etc. are all there for research. Please read below a copy of the email:

To: MBC Archvies Registrants

The MBC is happy to announce that the ability to access thousands of hours of digitized content is available through our online catalog. Almost exactly one year ago, the demand for the digitized content overwhelmed our technical capacity and we were forced to de-activate the video and audio streams. As of January 27, 2009 registered users will once again be able to not only browse our entire holdings, but also watch and listen to the 7,000 assets that have been digitized over the last four years.

This would not have been possible without the generous support of Cleversafe, a based company that is revolutionizing the way the world thinks about storing data. They have provided the technology and expertise the museum needed to realize the archives full potential.

This has been a long process and we appreciate your patience. We hope you enjoy not only the renewed access to digital content available in the catalog, but also the recently redesigned MBC website.

Daniel Berger
Archives Director
