Three 'Mentees' Chosen For 2009 Mildred Carter Mentoring Program

The MENTORING & INSPIRING WOMEN IN RADIO (MIW) GROUP has announced the "mentees" for the 2009 MILDRED CARTER MIW GROUP Mentoring Program.

CITADEL Country WKHX/ATLANTA's NANCY BARRE, CBS RADIO Country WUSN/CHICAGO Local Sales Manager LINDSAY CERAJEWSKI and ENTERCOM/BUFFALO, NY Director of Sports Sales JILL M. KOWALSKI were chosen to be mentored in this year's program, "which matches women in the radio industry with female professionals who are leaders in all aspects of radio."

Since the program launched in 2002, they have successfully worked with a total of 17 "mentees." It is named in memory of MILDRED CARTER, who, along with her husband ANDREW "SKIP" CARTER, founded the first African-American owned radio station in the U.S. in 1950.
