Reading the Feder piece makes you realize what a void he has left on the Chicago newspaper scene. As for Eddie, yes, a terrible loss and at 62, far too young to be gone. I listened to Eddie on both WIND and WGN and there were many mornings I could barely open my eyes because I`d been up all night listening to Chicago Ed.
Kind of sad that Steve Dahl is no longer on-the-air here since he would have given Eddie a great obit. In his later years, the only time you would hear Eddie on-the-air was when he would call into the Dahl show on WCKG.
