Though the station is moving back to Loyola's Water Tower Campus, I'm sure that the new studios will be decked out with the latest digital equipment!

Despite the rats and dead body that resided underneath the building (really!), I miss working in the old digs at Pearson and Wabash. The main broadcast studio was VERY TINY (the size of a walk-in closet), and we worked hard to present the best sound out of aging equipment (reel-to-reels, cart machines, etc.). My counterparts and I learned a lot about "running a tight board," "hitting the post," and "show prep."

A LOT of great talent came out of WLUW. I hope that Loyola's renewed commitment to its Department of Communication is a recognition of its broadcast gem! I look forward to seeing some WLUW alumni for the unveiling of the new complex!
