Steve Harvey this morning on Gci

This morning for pretty much the entire 9am hour during Steve Harvey's syndicated morning show, Gci sounded like it was playing a scratched CD. Audio was constantly skipping and popping. Where was the board op to intervene? Switch to backup, or find an engineer? Or has CC eliminated all board op positions too?
