US99.5 Snubbed By ACM Awards Again

Despite being the sole true country music radio station in the nation's third largest market, and consistently earning huge ratings, WUSN was once again overlooked by the Academy of Country Music.

The closest US99.5 came to any 44th Annual ACM Awards nomination was for "National On-Air Personality Of The Year" in which Lon Helton was again nominated for his Country Countdown USA show, which is syndicated to US99.5 early Sunday mornings.

"Close" to Chicago are the following nominees:

Large Market On-Air Personality Of The Year:
"The Moo Crew"/Karen, Scott & Radar - WMIL/Milwaukee

Small Market On-Air Personality Of The Year:
Rick Stephenson & Lisa Franks - WFYR/Peoria

Large Market Radio Station Of The Year:
WMIL/Milwaukee

Small Market Radio Station Of The Year:
WFYR/Peoria
WXCL/Peoria
WXXQ/Rockford

Chicago did receive SOME love via Country Nightclub Of The Year:
Joe's Bar/Chicago
Weed Street
