Not sure about the 2 watts at night. The station has enough trouble during the wee hours when still at full power so it probably doesn't go too far.

I'm guessing they're still on 1240, 1470 and 1330 WKTA (Wheree they got their start) on weekends as always since they cover the Chicago area while areas north (WPJX's coverage area) lack any signal from the above stations.

If they process the audio right they could expand their coverage with a weaker signal and cover Much of NE Lake County and Eastern Kenosha County but 1500 has always had poor audio quality since after Radio Disney went off the air in 2000. AM processing means a lot for signal reach.

Unlike the daytime, the nighttime 2 watts will be non directional coming from only 1 of the 3 towers.

Bu

: Are they using the 2 watts at night yet? How far does it get out? Are they still going to be
: on WSBC and WCFJ?

: : Not a fan of heavy metal music but I read on Rebel Radio's Myspace page that on the 11th they began broadcasting on 1500 WPJX all day and will soon be 24/7

: : I couldn't believe that, but its true. 1500 has a CP for night operation. 2 watts. Covers very little but I'm still amazed that station actualy got night operation after being a daytimer all its life.
