The Tribune Company has issued a company-wide salary freeze effective immediately. The Trib's Gerry Sepctor sent out the memo earlier this week letting staff know. This salary freeze affects all Trib non-union employees at all of their properties, including newspapers, TV stations and WGN-AM. The Tribune is hoping the freeze will eliminate the need for more layoffs.
