Chicago's newest television station is up and running with a lineup of classic programming available nowhere else.
Right on time last weekend, Weigel Broadcasting launched "Me-Too" on WMEU-Channel 48, a companion to "Me-TV" on Weigel's WWME-Channel 23.
Rare shows include "Naked City," "Boris Karloff's Thriller" and "The Fugitive."
"We are thrilled with the response we have had from viewers to the wide variety of TV classics that 'Me-Too' has brought to Chicagoland TV viewers," said Neal Sabin, Weigel's executive vice president.
"Our phones and Web sites have been jammed with viewers either thanking us for bringing back some of their favorite shows or trying to find the station in a 200-plus channel universe."
Besides over the air on Channel 48, "Me-Too" is carried on Comcast Channel 247, Channel 22 on RCN's rebuilt system and Channel 174 in those areas not upgraded yet. Carriage on WOW will start by April 1.
Viewers also can see both "Me-TV" and "Me-Too" via WCIU-DT, WCIU-Channel 26's digital station, via 26.2 and 26.3.
Sabin said subscribers to Dish Network and DirecTV should request "Me-Too" by sending e-mail via wciu.com.
