i caught the very tail end of his show this afternoon in my car. i can't speak on how his actual shows were this weekend, but if his signoff was any indication, they must have been horrible.

he was reciting a list of "thank yous" to various wgn staff members and kept rambling the same names over and over again before he finally caught himself and was like "oh wait, i already said those people.."

he then said some incoherent things about him being on the air in st. louis and his cell phone rang. he took the call off-mic. it was ridiculous.

at the very end (as the top of the hour tone played and he clearly was over his time), he was saying how great kevin metheny is and how chicago is in for some great changes at wgn with kevin metheny now in the house (what.. great changes like this guy?!?!)

his voice also was like nails on a chalkboard, but that's something i can usually overlook if the delivery and compelling content is there. and it wasn't. he was all over the place. actually reminded me of the time kiss fm had no one to work a certain weekend shift and steve perun decided to hit the air as "the mystery dj".

: Actually, I tuned into WGN last night and listened for about 20 minutes...that was all I could take of him. His voice annoyed me, and his style really put me off. IMHO...not at all entertaining and likable.

: : anyone catch the Boomer on 'Gn... will he fit in over there? ,,this guy is actually entertaining and listenable
