Longtime Chicago radio personality Garry Meier will be returning to the airwaves this week for one day as he sits in with John Howell on AM 560 WIND on Wednesday, February 25 from 5 to 9am. Meier will be filling in for Cisco Cotto, the other half of the John and Cisco Morning Show on WIND.
"There are a handful of names in this town that are synonymous with the radio business. Garry Meier is undoubtedly one of those names," said AM 560 WIND Program Director Marcus Brown. "Whenever
Garry is on the air, it's something special. It's been that way for years. We're fortunate to have him spend a small amount of time with us as a guest co-host."
Meier is best known for his stints at WLUP and WLS-AM and WLS-FM with Steve Dahl and his show
with Roe Conn at WLS-AM. Most recently, Meier hosted a show on WCKG-FM in 2007.
John Howell and Cisco Cotto have been hosting mornings on AM560 WIND since October of 2006.
Recent guests on the John and Cisco show include Gov. Pat Quinn, Rep. Mark Kirk, Sen. Roland Burris, and controversial UIC professor Bill Ayers.
