Former Chicago Bulls star Norm Van Lier dead at 61

Former Bulls player and broadcaster Norm Van Lier died this afternoon, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He was 61.

Fire personnel responded to a request to check up on him at his apartment in the 1100 block of West Madison Street when he was found unresponsive, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
