Like Bonnie Hunt, WBEZ also has been awarded a 2009 Gracie Award from the American Women in Radio and Television. In the Local Market, Public and Student radio categories, WBEZ won for "Outstanding Documentary - Short Format, Local Radio (Markets 1-25)" for their radio documentary "The Neighborhood That Met Obama First." They will be given the award at the ceremony in New York City on June 4th.
