A pair of items from Elliot Harris' Chicago Sun-Times column today:
Jesse Rogers no longer is part of WSCR's ''Hit and Run'' team with George Ofman on Sunday mornings. He has departed to join Chicagosportswebio.com -- the Internet site that simulcasts Mike North's and Dan Jiggetts' ''Monsters in the Morning'' on Comcast SportsNet -- which plans to expand. Zach Zaidman replaces Rogers on ''Hit and Run.''

'ENTERTAINING' THE TROOPS: Hot Rox going all the way -- to Far East
The Hot Rox Dancers are going places.
The performers, who entertained at indoor lacrosse games before the Chicago Shamrox folded, will travel to Korea and Japan to entertain American troops June 3-19. Accompanying the lovely ladies will be Dan Morrell of WBBM-FM, who will serve as MC and DJ.
''Not sure words can truly describe how we feel,'' Hot Rox director (and dancer) Kim Brancamp told Quick Hits. ''Not only is it an incredible honor, but it's such an amazing experience of a lifetime. We still get butterflies when we talk about it, traveling to Korea and Japan and the opportunity to perform for thousands and thousands of our U.S. troops.
''We were all saddened by the Shamrox's decision to cease operations, but we are fortunate that the Hot Rox Dancers have been run as a separate entity from the Shamrox through Major League Promotions. We never skipped a beat and kept moving forward with our upcoming events and tour.''
In May, Major League Dance Promotions (Brancamp's company) will hold a send-off show to raise money for gifts for the goodwill tour. Details to come (along with another photo of the dancers).
Brancamp also said you won't have to go abroad to see the Hot Rox Dancers perform.
''The Hot Rox will be teaming up with the Chicago Fire and igniting Fire fans throughout the 2009 season,'' she said. ''It definitely doubled the excitement for the Rox ladies, getting the tour and now working with the Chicago Fire. We are going to be their Cardinal Fitness Fire Crew at every game, as well as perform as the Hot Rox at halftime and Fire Fest at two or three games.''
