Crash course in racing a tiny misadventure

March 9, 2009

BY ELLIOTT HARRIS Sun-Times Columnist

Funnyman Harry Teinowitz has taken his flip approach to a new level. The ESPN Radio personality suffered a concussion Friday at Hawthorne Race Course in a celebrity horse race against other station talents. He was trying to slow down after the race when he crashed into a fence and was flipped to the ground. He was discharged Sunday from Loyola Medical Center in Maywood.

Justin Craig, AM-1000's program director, said Teinowitz is in great spirits, is at home resting and probably will take the week off -- even though Harry wants to come back sooner. If he comes back any sooner, Teinowitz ought to have his head examined (and not for a concussion).
