Andrea Darlas made that show unlistenable for me. At the beginning it sounded like Springer actually had a show prepared, and he was doing a fairly amusing intro, but then Andrea blurted something out and it completely ruined his timing. Brought the whole show to a screeching halt. Then he tried to say something about doing a radio show to lead the democratic party, comparing himself humorously to Rush, but he could barely get it out amid Andrea's constant comments. At that point I turned the channel. I checked back a couple times and it was almost always her talking. The final time I checked before I had to go back inside to work she had spontaneously decided the next half hour was going to be an open "Ask Jerry" call-in segment.

Since when was it supposed to be her show? Good lord. Of course most of the blame has to go to whoever in management decided that Jerry needed help. Hasn't he done radio shows in the past? Why would he need any help? From what I heard he seemed perfectly capable of conducting the show all by himself. Maybe bouncing off Steve Bertrand occasionally when warrented.

That intro the station made for him is pretty embarassing too. Yeah, yeah, he's most known for his talk show and always will be, but before that he was a very serious politician and I'm pretty sure that's where his heart still lies and what he's most interested in discussing. From what I've heard he's also a very engaging speaker. I wouldn't know though.

...wow, it sure sounds like I'm a Springer fan right now doesn't it?
