Radio personality Teddy Bart charged in prostitution sting

The former host of Channel 4's "Noon Show" and "Teddy Bart's Roundtable" was booked this week in a prostitution sting at a Nashville hotel.

The sting took place after Teddy Bart and eight other men responded to an Internet ad for sex, according to police. They were cited after agreeing to pay a female undercover officer for sexual activity.

Bart, 73, could not be reached for comment on his home phone. His picture was posted on Metro Police's patronizing prostitution Web site. The offense was a misdemeanor.

Bart has been a Nashville celebrity for decades on local TV and radio. According to Bart's Web site, he is married and lives in Coffee County. He currently broadcasts a talk show called "Beyond Reason," and his most recent book, "A Particle of God," is scheduled to be released March 27, according to his Web site.
