Classic 1971 Blackhawks game re-aired

Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita and Tony Esposito will be back on the ice again when Comcast SportsNet reruns a classic "Blackhawks Legends" game from Dec. 11, 1971.

The three Hockey Hall of Famers will be seen in glorious black-and-white as they lead the Blackhawks to victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Comcast SportsNet will air the full broadcast, including pre-game and post-game interviews, at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. (It also will be shown again at 10 a.m. Wednesday.)

It features the original announcing team of Bill Hewitt and Bob Goldham.

"This game represents the golden era of Blackhawk hockey," said Jay Blunk, senior vice president for the club. "This rare footage will allow fans to see the great skills of Hull, Mikita, Esposito and a host of other Blackhawk greats in its purest form."
