B96 Takes On The "Worm"

CBS RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic WBBM (B96)/CHICAGO's morning team of J-NIICE and JULIANONTHERADIO had some APRIL FOOL'S DAY fun with the CONFICKER.C.computer worm and their morning show office computer. They did a live, on-air "demonstration" of how the much publicized worm affected their computers. They had a computer savvy "listener" send them a patch to cure the virus and made the patch available free at B96.com.

The frenzy of fear created even got local news outlets calling CBS RADIO/CHICAGO about the extent of the damage to CBS' computers.
