I heard (and saw) it and there were tones inserted (at least four, I think) but each tone ended just before the offending words were heard. Maybe someone changed the settings on the editing software.
Last week, on Jimmy Kimmel (not) Live one of the same words (with an "ing" attached) was heard without any edit, although there were other edits in the show. Kimmel even remarked that that was a word that you can't say on TV, but that didn't prompt anyone to do something.
: I didn't hear it myself, but word has it that NBC5 let a couple of words slip out over the air that they sure shouldn't have. This happened on NBC5's 5pm newscast yesterday evening. One of the words is on George Carlin's famous list -one is on Al Sharpton's list. And both are on the FCC's list of no-no's. Is somebody getting in trouble for not preparing a video properly...? Cooooould be.
