Garry was ripping into Lewis Lazare for saying that he demanded a one million dollar salary but was rebuffed by WGN management. He also went off on Lazare for insulting his wife and called Lewis a liar for saying that Garry never explained why he wouldn't re-up at WLS. I'm not a fan of Lewis Lazare but Garry took this way too personally. The article I read was not that critical of him or his wife, and as far as I know Garry never did explain why left although he claims he did.
It was not compelling radio, more of a childish rant. His producer must have steered him back on track because I went into a store while he was ranting and when I got back in the car he was attempting to do a radio show by trashing Blago.
: I tuned in late to the 1st Garry Meier show on WGN today and when I did tune in, he was apologizing about what he had to say but he just had to set the record straight about himself. He said he just had ro respond to these things. I was wondering, what did he set straight? What was his response? I missed it and it is just eating me up wondering what I missed.
