: WCGO Goes Dark, WONX -- Now WCGO -- Ups Power : The end is finally here for KOVAS COMMUNICATIONS Adult Standards WCGO-A/CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL, which has gone silent to allow the upgrade of sister Ethnic Brokered WONX-A/EVANSTON. : The move gives WONX the ability to upgrade to 7,000 watts daytime; KOVAS previously took WKKD-A/AURORA, IL and WMCW-A/HARVARD, IL dark to facilitate the upgrade. WCGO has a construction permit to move to JENISON, MI (GRAND RAPIDS) as a 10,000-watt daytimer. : And with WCGO going dark, WONX turned up the juice to increase to 7,000 watts, and has adopted the WCGO calls.
