Mancow, attending a tax tea party today appeared on Roe Conn's show by phone about a half hour ago. Summing it all up, Mancow said he is encourage at the fact that there are people out where who do care what is happening in this country (bailouts, government over-spending), and that the battle is with the media who worries more about Michaelle Obama's dress and the Obama's dog.
Roe asked Mancow if Pat Cassidy was at the party, and the response from Mancow was a not so nice ripping on Pat Cassidy, in my opinion. Mancow stated that Cassidy was not at the tea party event and that he is a classic liberal. He says that people like Cassidy are the problem. They are suburban people and they go home, where everything is fine and dandy. Cassidy might be the smarter one between the two because he made a lot more money, but to Mancow, he is more than making money... he cares about the problems of this country.
That is a significant dig on his current on-air partner, who was not present to defend himself, by the way.
During the 3:00 segment, Ron Magers comes on and says says he takes exception to his WLS colleague, Mancow. Magers gets angry and says that the media does a fine job reporting the facts, and that Mancow should be upset with the people ignorant enough to not do any further research and form their own opinions. Mancow then basically says that it must be nice for someone who use to make a living off (and I don't remember what words he used exactly, so I'll use something similar) a circus like atmosphere of a radio show, who then decided to make a career change, and suddenly acts like "Mr. Responsibility."
Very interesting minute or two from Mr. Ron Magers.
I wonder if Pat Cassidy will have anything to say on the show tomorrow, and I wonder if Mancow will have any reaction to Magers. I may listen to their show tomorrow (which I have stopped doing as of late).
