Well, a computer virus anyway.
After some staffers at the CBS-owned station picked up a bug through interaction on Facebook, the employees reported they were told this week that they no longer would be allowed to access Facebook at work.
That edict -- if that's what it was -- lasted about a day.
The station's IT people scrubbed the system and quarantined the virus, and folks were reminded that station policy prohibits use of work computers for anything but official business, a WBBM spokesman said. But promoting the station and interacting with would-be viewers through Facebook is business.
The spokesman pointed out Channel 2 has its own Facebook page.
