Found this in an e-mail box today so thought I would post in case anyone is looking for some work. Maybe that dumb college kid waiting for a big market job realizes these type of jobs are how you start your broadcasting career. Given the number of layoffs lately I'd be surprised if even more seasoned pros called on this job as well.
TRAFFIC REPORTER POSITION
Please be advised that I am seeking a traffic reporter for The Tom Joyner Morning Show on Soul 106-3. The work hours are from 3:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday. You will function as your own producer, and will be responsible for preparing your own news and traffic reports. You must have a mature, qualitative voice that’s appropriate for a 25-54 target demographic.
Additionally, you must have a strong knowledge of our audio equipment, including Vox Pro, the audio console, Prophet, etc. An energetic personality, a cooperative spirit and good punctuality record is a must. This is a part-time, hourly position, and all interested applicants must submit a resume, cover letter and 3 to 5-minute demo to:
