City of Chicago picks up radio names

A lot of people have exited the radio industry recently. A few of them have ended up happily working for the City of Chicago. Among them is Mike Kessler, who was most recently at WXRT, but has also worked at WMET, WRXR, WNUA, WMAQ, WBBM & WSCR. Mike left radio two years ago and has been with Chicago's 311/OEMC department. He was just honored as Employee of the Year there.

Other former radio folk who have joined the ranks of City employees include Larry Langford (who was at Mike Kessler's ceremony), Tom LaPorte, Derek Hill, Anne McCarthy and Cindy Gatziolis.
