The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee of Chicago, or ADC for short, is the local civil rights organization with the goal of defending the rights of people of Arab descent and promoting the Arab cultural heritage. Tomorrow night, May 12th, they will be holding their annual ADC Chicago Media Award Dinner, which will honor five journalists for their "dedication, fairness and objectivity in the coverage of American Arab Issues." Being honored tomorrow night will be CBS2's Jay Levine. Also receiving recognition & honors will be: Burt Constable (Daily Herald Columnist), Stephen Franklin (Former Tribune writer, Ethnic Affairs writer, Community Media Workshop/Medill), Amani Ghouleh (Al-Offok Al-Arabi Newspaper) and Mansour Tadros (Al-Mustaqbal Newspaper). The event is being held at the Drury Lane Banquet at Oak Brook Center from 6:00pm-10:00pm. Tickets are $60 ($30 for students with valid ID).
