Starting this fall, "The Oprah Winfrey Show" will become the first daytime production from Chicago-based Harpo Studios to broadcast in HD, according to Broadcasting & Cable.

"Harpo is embracing new technologies to always deliver the highest-quality content for our viewers," said Tim Bennett, Harpo Productions president.
