Citadel Joins EPA's Green Power Partnership Program

CITADEL BROADCASTING CORPORATION announced that it is the first radio broadcasting company in its entirety to partner with the U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY in its Green Power Partnership program . As part of its commitment, CITADEL will purchase renewable energy certificates to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the Company's conventional use of elechicagomedia.orgicity. CITADEL BROADCASTING and its radio network division, ABC RADIO NETWORKS, has also pledged to run more than $1 million in airtime to promote the benefits of going green to listeners over the next two years.

"We are proud to be the EPA's first organization-wide Green Power radio company partner and we are putting the tools and resources of our entire Company behind this initiative. Our efforts along with the other EPA partners are helping to increase AMERICA's renewable energy capacity," said ABC RADIO NETWORKS Pres. JIM ROBINSON. "Participating in this program is not only good for the environment, but it is also good business."
