Last week I wrote about some right wing tools who have ruined my weekends of radio listening on WGN .... and then on Friday my fears starting coming true. Kath and Judy were dumped.
With Kathy and Judy gone we now have shawn wasson and Jerry Agar taking over. I listen to WGN to be connected to fellow Chicagoans. Now we have this idiot shawn wasson who calls himself the News Junkie. Yesterday he played a 911 tape of a woman drowning in her car while talking to the operator. His point was they should have told her to get out of the car. Good point. Then he spent an hour sensationalizing the story and playing the tape again and again.
Today, in place of Kathy and Judy we got Shawn again. He wondered why people weren't reacting about North Korea's nuclear test over night. Then, get this, he wondered why we weren't reacting to the rape of a woman in a park in Spokane Wash in broad daylight in fron of families and no one called police. They just watched. He actually equated the 2 points.
But guess what. His story started to fall apart as a caller noted that the woman was drinking with a vagrant and there was more to the storiy. Facts be damned he plowed forward.
I managed to get through and decided to give him an earful and a farewell to WGN at the same time. First I googled the story.
He conventiently talk about the headline and the first couple of paragraphs;
SPOKANE -- A 53-year-old man was arrested Saturday afternoon for allegedly raping a woman in broad daylight at Riverfront Park.
Spokane Police Officer Tim Moses says the rape happened just before 2 p.m. on the north side of the river, near the park fountain. He said the two were within sight of many families who were at the park to enjoy the nice day.
"How can these people just stand by and watch. What's this country coming to." What he didn't mention was
Witnesses initially called Riverfront Park Security, who responded to find 53-year-old Terry Thomas allegedly sexually assaulting a 27-year-old woman behind a large rock. When Spokane Police arrived Thomas became uncooperative and combative, but they were able to eventually arrested him.
So I called, bitch him out and I am done. As I write this I haven't turned off the radio and he now talking about the story of some kids who were turn away from a meeting with the President after being late 10 minutes. What really galls me about this guy is he hides being fairness to hide his right wing agenda - gee sounds like Fox. He said in all fairness the president has a busy schedule. Then in the next paragraph he says "how is it going to look that he didn't meet these kids and was shaking hand with millionaire's. The Pittsburgh Steelers. OK I've rambled enough. here is my request.
Before turning off the station, if this is your ilk. Give these guys a call and catch them at their lies before saying goodbye.
