: : WNUA swings to Spanish format

: It's done.

: Ramsey and Karen said goodbye, Karen almost cried, Ramsey said he'll see us around at performance gigs in the area. They played one last song and after the song faded, a ticking sound came on.. a voice said.. the big change comes to 95.5 in 5 minutes.. and a montage of different things played over the ticking sound... when it reached 10 seconds left, the voice said.. the change happens in 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, and it switched to a spanish male voice who counted down in spanish (I don't even count in spanish sorry).. then a bunch of other spanish stuff was said (I'm guessing it was like "Welcome, Chicago, to the new Mega 95.5" or something).. and a song was played.

: WNUA is now removed from my bookmarks for at work listening. Maybe 100.3 will go back to more of the "original" Love FM now.

For the record, the final song played as NUA was, I believe, also their first song played--David Sanborn's "Chicago Song" (or, as I tend to think of it, the Bob Sirott "First Thing in the Morning" theme).
